Kody has been hunting since childhood in the sagebrush hills and evergreen mountains of central Washington, where he developed a lifelong respect for wildlife and the traditions of the outdoors. Filling the freezer is one his main reasons for hunting because he really enjoys cooking and sharing meals with family and friends. Since 2022, he’s been guiding with us here at Clark Fork Outfitters, helping hunters experience the rugged and steep mountains of northern Idaho, notching tags on quality animals, learning new things and usually laughing while here. Kody has honed his skills in whitetail deer hunting , calling coyotes and talking to bull elk but also grew up hunting mule deer in his younger years. Just in recent years has he started bear hunting and learning the lifestyle of hound hunting but has had a plethora of successful bear clients. He brings years of field experience, has taken wilderness first aid courses while working for the Washington Conservation Corps and now local knowledge of the beautiful Coeur d’Alene mountains. He has spent the last 6 winters/springs working on a large cattle ranch calving season which adds to some of his grit. Whether you're chasing your first bull or looking for a trophy buck, he will always do his best to provide a rewarding, laughter, fun filled and unforgettable hunt regardless of what tags get notched.
